Test Manager
A vacancy has arisen within our IT department for a Test Manager. You will be responsible for creating and delivering a well defined test strategy, ensuring the appropriate testing of IT applications. You will be required to perform testing within agreed standards, efficiently, and utilising external providers as required. This role requires exceptional communication and management skills. The role will be hands on and will require a high degree of flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:

Introduction of a formal testing model, utilising industry best practice that will include the use of third parties, testing software and testing automation.

Management of third party suppliers ensuring that we have a cohesive and compliant testing plan in place for each application delivery.

Line management and the development of a small in house test team, motivating colleagues and appraising performance.

Working with other departments to execute test scripts to agreed timescales reporting progress to the Project Lead and Head of Product Department via regular status reports.
Skill Requirements:
-
Evidence that you have successfully defined and managed a variety of test strategies in a range of technological environments including mission critical 24x7 Applications.

Thorough understanding of the testing lifecycle, phase testing objectives, entry/exit acceptance criteria, and risk based approaches to testing cycle definition.

ISEB testing qualification and practical application (foundation to practitioner)

ITIL and/or PRINCE2 to foundation level
