Cirrus Des Aigles looked every inch a superstar as he blew away the opposition in the Prix Ganay at Longchamp.
Corine Barande-Barbe's six-year-old, seeking his first victory at Group One level in his own country, was sent straight to the front by Olivier Peslier and dictated the pace throughout the extended 10 furlongs.
Peslier gradually wound it up and had the rest of the field struggling by the time they turned into the straight, before coming away from nearest pursuer Giofra to win easily under hands and heels riding. Reliable Man finished third, with Michael Bell's challenger Wigmore Hall a never dangerous fourth.
