Top-class hurdler Unaccompanied showed her versatility with a comprehensive victory in the navanracecourse.ie Race at Navan.
Twice a Grade One winner over jumps, the Dermot Weld-trained mare (9-10 favourite) swept into the lead a furlong and a half out under Pat Smullen and was not hard pressed to beat Rising Wind by a length and three-quarters.
The winning jockey said: "She did it well. I'd have been disappointed if she'd been beaten today. The step up in trip helped her and she feels as if she's strengthened up over the winter."
It was an afternoon of doubles led by Aidan and Joseph O'Brien, who followed the victory of Kissed in the Salsabil Stakes with another all-the-way success thanks to 4-6 favourite Athens in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race.
Another double scorer was Johnny Murtagh, who got punters off to a great start as the Ger Lyons-trained 15-8 favourite Watsdachances confirmed the promise of her debut third with a six-length win in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
The trainer's brother, Shane Lyons, said: "She's improved no end from her run at Cork and Johnny was very impressed. He thought beforehand she could be Listed placed, but now he thinks she could win a Listed race. She could go for something like the Marble Hill Stakes."
Murtagh struck later for his boss the Aga Khan and trainer John Oxx as Karatash (100-30) made a fine start to his career in the Dunderry Maiden.
Oxx's representative, Jimmy O'Neill, said: "Johnny said the track woke him up as he's quite lazy and laid-back at home. He'll go on better ground and we'll stick at this trip (10 furlongs) with him."
Following a couple of good runs in defeat, Tommy Stack's Atacx made it third time lucky in the Irish Racing Calendar Maiden. The 9-10 favourite picked up well for Wayne Lordan to beat Legal Peace by a length and a quarter, with a yawning gap of 15 lengths back to the remainder.
Stack and Lordan completed a brace when 9-2 favourite Equity Swap landed the Family Day Handicap.
