Shropshire could bid for further handicap riches in next month's William Hill Ayr Gold Cup.
Charlie Hills' grey has been productive throughout a busy 2012 campaign, winning at Kempton and Ascot as well as finishing second in valuable events at Newmarket and Windsor.
Raised in company for last weekend's Stewards' Cup at Goodwood, he performed with credit to take eighth, but was beaten just two lengths by the winner, Hawkeyethenoo.
"In hindsight, his penalty for winning the race at Ascot probably stopped him, but he's the type of horse who will pick up one of these big handicaps," the Lambourn trainer told www.charleshills.com.
"Matthew Lawson gets on really well with him and next stop could well be the Ayr Gold Cup."
