C E Longsdon
A winner of a hurdle race at 2m on heavy ground, but that win was over two years ago. Beaten 4 1/2l by Storming Gale when second of 8 at 9-4fav on his latest outing in a chase at Bangor over 3m (good) in February. Having his first run for a new stable today.
LOOSE PREFORMER edges this on official ratings and the drop into novice company is expected to bring about a return to the winner's enclosure. There should be more to come from the lightly raced six-year-old who is partnered with the very useful 5lb claimer Jeremiah McGrath. Of the others, Kauto Relko has been knocking on the door and may go closer with a bit of juice in the ground, but Baile Anrai is feared most for Ian Williams if back to the form that saw him land a similar event at Leicester three starts ago.
