Race Verdict

Saga De Tercey is sure to have plenty of supporters on his handicap debut after gamely completing a hat-trick of novice hurdle wins at Sedgefield last month, while Crowning Jewel also came good in novices' company at Newcastle latest and makes plenty of appeal. The vote, however, goes to POWERFUL AMBITION. He has been placed in both starts since sent handicapping and showed a liking for soft ground when runner-up behind subsequent Flat scorer Ministerofinterior at Huntingdon 59 days ago.

Selection: Powerful Ambition        Danger: Saga De Tercey        Alternative: Crowning Jewel
