COMPTON TARGET travelled well in midfield over 6f here last time but appeared to lack the pace needed to make his presence felt in the finish. The step up to 1m looks a good move and, now 10lb lower than when scoring here in August, he looks weighted to strike again soon. Roger Varian's Tazweed is respected on his handicap/seasonal bow having been handed an opening mark of 58 but a wide draw is less than ideal and a bigger threat may be Sudden Wish, who went down by less than a length off 1lb lower at Lingfield last time.
