Race Verdict
STARSCOPE ran a fine race in the 1000 Guineas behind runaway winner, Homecoming Queen, on only her third career start. She appreciated the step up to 1m for the first time and should find this trip even more to her liking. She clearly sets a good Classic standard and the Selkirk filly can prevail. Lacily is proven over the trip but was beaten over 10 lengths by stable companion Kailani in the Pretty Polly Stakes. That was only her second run in public and she'll surely improve, while Firdaws looks a filly of considerable potential and completes the shortlist.
