Race Verdict

The Darling Boy was in good heart towards the end of last year and he would have solid claims here if returning to action at the top of his game. Phar Again finished runner-up over this C&D last time and he has a chance on that form but, in a tricky opener, the one to be on could be the strong-travelling ROC DE GUYE. He has been performing with credit of late, is on his last winning mark and this test should suit. Turbo Shandy is also worthy of consideration.

Selection: Roc De Guye        Danger: Turbo Shandy        Alternative: The Darling Boy
