Race Verdict
HEAVY METAL is improving with every outing and Mark Johnston's colt can complete the hat-trick. He handled the step up to a sixth furlong with aplomb at Newmarket, when always looking in control of a decent field, and it would be no surprise if Silvestre De Sousa attempts to bounce him out and make all. Euxton Hall created a good impression when making a winning Haydock debut over the more more experienced Annunciation, who has since obliged at Windsor. Richard Fahey's colt looks a live threat, likewise the unbeaten Lastchancelucas and the progressive Liber, who looked much-improved from his Redcar debut when scoring easily at Carlisle. Surely Speightful is not discounted either in an open heat.
