Placed in a hurdle race from two starts. Beaten 2 3/4l by Seren Gris when second of 12 at 11-8fav on his latest outing in a hurdle race at Sedgefield over 2m 1f (good) last month.
Donald McCain saddled the winner of this event 12 months ago and appears to have another cracking chance with SUD PACIFIQUE. The high-class Flat performer has displayed a fair amount of ability in both starts over hurdles thus far and should prove extremely difficult to beat in what represents his easiest assignment yet. Cadore ran well in the first-time cheekpieces at Perth last month and is most feared with that piece of tack used again, while Irish raider Man Of God looks worthy of a place on the shortlist.
