Race Verdict

Select Committee has been knocking on the door and should figure prominently once again, but five-time track winner CARANBOLA edges the vote. Although struggling to find her form recently, Mel Brittain's mare appears to come alive when brought to the East Yorkshire venue and she is currently only 2lb higher than when scoring over C&D last August. Befortyfour is another worthy of consideration following his half-length defeat at Kempton just 11 days ago.

Selection: Caranbola        Danger: Select Committee        Alternative: Befortyfour
