Adam Wedge (3)
Evan Williams

A winner at 6-1 in a selling hurdle race at Newton Abbot over 2m 6f (soft) on his latest outing last month, beating Kapdor by 11l. Carries a 7lb penalty today for that success.

Race Verdict

BILLY BLADE won well despite being out of the handicap at Newton Abbot last week and his 7lb penalty is best ignored here as he is effectively 2lb 'well in' at the weights because his new mark of 80 does not kick in until Saturday. Qalinas is fairly treated on his best form and he is entitled to be in the shake-up, along with Kingsfold Flare who finished a decent second on her handicap debut at Worcester last week.

Selection: Billy Blade        Danger: Qalinas        Alternative: Kingsfold Flare
