Race Verdict

LADYVIE hasn't pulled up any trees since joining David Pipe from France last summer but she's still only five, has gone well over both hurdles and fences in her last three runs and inhabits a reasonable mark. This trip is suitable and she's preferred to Pickworth, a dual winner this term at Aintree but raised 11lb as a result. Ironical remains on a decent mark and Richard Johnson retains the ride after the combination went down by just over a length at Uttoxeter last time. He's 0-15 under Rules but harbours each-way claims on that evidence.

Selection: Ladyvie        Danger: Pickworth        Alternative: Ironical
